First Design Team layout for Kraft Plus

Hi everyone! I am so thrilled to be sharing my very first Design Team layout for Kraft Plus Challenges this month! It is a wonderful feeling when you are invited to be on a Design Team, I feel very honoured, flattered and excited, as I have played along with almost every one of their challenges since they first started!
For this month's challenge, we had a prompt...ON YOUR BIKE...Specifics are, use a bike somewhere on your project, and of course, must be a Kraft background.

Here's the prompt board:

Image may contain: bicycle and outdoor

This is what I came up with....

I've used cardstock from Kaszazz, and my papers and matching stickers are from AUTHENTIQUE, which I was gifted by the lovely Vicki over at Scrap Matrix!

My background started with some stencilling and stamping of some cogs, using Kaszazz products. I flicked some Dylusions spray drops on there, and some Distress paint, watered down, also from Kaszazz. The title and bike image, are made using a couple of awesome screen prints from Heidi Swapp.

I am really making a concious effort to journal more on my projects. I usually hide it somewhere behind the photo if I have a lot to say. Another favourite way to journal is around the border of my page, which is what I have done here. The pics are of my little man, riding his bike on a BMX track in Alice Springs, during a driving/camper trailer holiday we did in 2012.

I acquired the cute litte metal cogs, sheer clock & film strip, from a pocket letter swap! I love having these random bits of ephemera and embellies, that come in handy when you just can't find the right item in your stash!

I'm looking forward to the next challenge with Kraft Plus. hope you can play along with them!!!

Scrap the girls Design Team layout- CRAZY YOU

It's the 1st of the month, which means a brand new challenge reveal over at Scrap the girls!!!! This month, we have a sketch for you to play along with, which looks like this:

I am really loving all the sketches and moodboards for inspiration, and this one was no exception. I knew I wanted to do a stamped background, so I started off with the Kaszazz, Mandala Stamps in Black and Watering Can Archival Inks. The tiny little bubble stamp has been in my stash for a long time and it got a new lease of life from stamping it in little clusters!

My watercoloured effect comes from using Distress Inks and water, with a watercolour brush. Love all the different colours and versatility with Distress inks! I also dabbed a Distress Paint dabber a few times on there.

My patterned papers used are: 7 Dots, Heidi Swapp, Crate paper and Authentique. My die cuts are: Kaisercraft Collectables, and an old journal spot from D-Lish Scraps, which is hidden behind the photo, with a little Kaszazz twine.
I painted my 2 Crafty, chippy title with Dylusions Paint, love how the colours stand out.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

CSI COLOR STORIES INSPIRATION MAJOR CASE FILE NO 181

So, feel like I finally got my mojo back after a crazy 4 days in Adelaide. I was pretty exhausted when I returned and couldn't do alot. This Case file was a bit challenging for me at first,I had already put one kit together, and then decided it just wasn't working, so after a break and some different photos of my son being a dare devil, it all came together.
here is the Case file and the sketch for no. 181..

And here is my take on the Case File:

I have used some gorgoeus AUTHENTIQUE PAPERS, courtesy of the lovely Vicki from SCRAP MATRIX!!! From Kaszazz, I have used, cardstock, stamps, inks, Alcohol Ink Art markers, twine & metal slides. Other stamps used are Basic Grey, Papercraft & Kelly Purkey. Kaisercraft rub ons, Stickers & alphas-Authentique, thickers, Bella Cork alphas. & Collected & Co. Enamel dots and triangles from Francheville and Chickaniddy. There's also some washi tape & acrylic paint included!!!
Here's a few close ups!!! Love the look on Jack's face in the bottom pick. Shows the excitement for sure!
