Poolside fun

Hi lovelies! Today I have my Design Team take on the Scrappingclearly, sketch this month.

These pics were taken in Bali, on a family holiday. I have so many and am trying to do pocket pages for the majority. But every now and then I will come across a few that need to tell their on story on a page!

Here's a few close ups and for all the information and products used, head over to the Scrappingclearly blog!

Thanks for visiting!!

Heidi Swapp Travel themed book pages

Hi everyone! Well, I have hit the ground running for 2017, with my crafty projects. Every now and then, when I am time poor, I try and opt for something a little less time consuming with my memory keeping. I got this great Heidi Swapp Travel themed book from Scrappingclearly, and I have started documenting some pages from my recent trip to Adelaide. I have been sharing these on the Scrappingclearly blog for my Design Team posts.

It's such a simple way of memory keeping, I love it. I've just used some Heidi Swapp washi stickers, sheer stickers and cardstock stickers, some paper off cuts from the Chickaniddy 365 range and the sheer stickers that came with the book. The photos just slip in to the 4 x 4" slot, you can cut down your 4x6" pics! I love the journal lines, it encourages me to tell more of the story. We had such a great time, lots of quality family time, and I can't wait to add more of these stories to my pages!

Scrap the Girls January moodboard 2017

Hello and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Let's hope 2017 brings us all happiness, success, and makes our dreams become realities!!! I have a few dreams, goals and plans, I really want to put them down on paper and make them happen!!!
This month is my last reveal as a Design Team member for SCRAP THE GIRLS CHALLENGES! I have loved my term over there, there's a great bunch of inspiring girls, and we are handing over the reins to a new bunch of peeps....yet to be revealed.
Here's the moodboard, which was a very challenging one, I have to say:

I couldn't find any papers to help me with the colours, so I decided to focus on the metallics in the image, and I stamped and embossed some Kaszazz mandala stamps in gold, wine and copper. It looks very shiny!! (Hard to pick it up on the photo!)
It's a bit of a thrifty layout this one, as the stickers are all from a paper pack I bought for a couple of bucks at the Salvo's store!!! I mounted them all onto card for dimension, add a few flowers from Green Tara and Seriously Scrapbooking, and finished by embossing a chipboard word from Kaszazz.

I love this pic of Mum and I, which was taken on our recent visit to Adelaide!!!

Catching up.

So we have had our 3 weeks in Adelaide...Man that was busy. My friend's Wedding, who I did the Photography for, then she had another party a few days later for speeches and formalities. Then the joint 50th Birtday party for myself and 2 friends the following week..We had a few nights away on the Yorke Peninsula, which I loved, especially as it was with family. We caught up with lots of family and friends, including friends that flew in from our old home, Port Douglas...there were so many catch ups here and there, it was great, but quite exhausting!!!

Here are a couple of layouts that have been posted for my Design Team work during that time!

This one was for Off the Rails!!!

The next one was for: Scrap the Girls!!!

And here are some photos from our trip:

I will be back soon with some more inspiration!!!

My DT take on the Scrappingclearly October sketch

Hi again, I can't believe that it's October, just so scary how fast these months are flying by. Oh well, at least there are always lots of scrappy challenges to keep my crafty mojo happy. I love being part of a Design Team, and at Scrappingclearly, we now have a sketch and a moodboard each month, which really does help inspire me for my DT samples.
So here is the sketch this month:

And here is my layout! I was even inspired by the colours in the sketch this month!

The background paper was already awesomly coloured, but to add a little more, I blended some Distress inks, made some Distress Stain spots and did a little stamping with stamps from Kaszazz, Heidi Swapp and Urban Crafter.
I've used papers & ephemera by Pink Paislee, Washi stickers from Heidi Swapp and Maggie Holmes and Crate Paper, & a fabulous chipboard piece from 2 Crafty! (Just love these large acetate numbers from the Pink Paislee, Cest La Vie range!)

My title alphas are from American Crafts and Amy Tangerine, (have been waiting for the right project to use these on!!!) The sparkly pink hashtag is from a pack of Heidi Swapp alphas from Scrappingclearly, and the cute little bow is from Crate Paper and Maggie Holmes.

I'm glad I've got this photo scrapped, another piece of my daughter's life, she loved her dancing when she was little, I so wish she would get back into it now!

Circle Journals

I'm back on the blog at Scrappingclearly today, filling in for a fellow Design Team member. I thought I would share something different, and show everyone one of the Circle Journal entries I have done. The Circle Journal is an art journal of sorts, which gets passed around to members in a group. I have 12 in my group! We all made our own journals from paper bags, decorated the covers and first few pages, then sent them on their merry way to be decorated by each member and then passed along. At the end of 12 months, the journal is returned to it's original owner, with 12 different masterpieces!!! How cool! We share some of our entries in a private Facebook page and man, there are some talented people out there!!! Anyhow, I based my colours on this month's moodboard from Scrappingclearly...

And here is my page....

Scrappingclearly September sketch

Happy Saturday everyone!!! I love being a Design Team member, it opens up so many possibilities and sometimes challenges me to move a little outside my comfort zone and try new things. Well this month's sketch at Scrappingclearly, is designed by me. The first one I have ever done, and I have to say it's a little addictive!! I have lots of experience with layers in Photoshop and thought I would use that. As it turns out, I am exploring the mountains of possibilities within Microsoft Word, and that's where I created this sketch!

Here is my take on the sketch, using the gorgeous Starshine range, by Shimelle and American Crafts.

I love working with a sketch, it makes life so much easier when scrapping. I've cut alot of my embellishments from the patterned papers, there's a few little wood veneers from Studio Calico on there & some Heidi Swapp and Carolees Creations alphas.

Can you notice the shiny Colour Blast Colour Paste stars on there?? I made my own stencil for those, see below!!

Thanks for looking!!!
Have a great day!!!

Scrappingclearly Moodboard

Hi! It's my turn on the Scrappingclearly blog today with my Design Team take on this month's moodboard! I've used the gorgeous, Starshine collection from American Crafts and Shimelle!

Love all the cut outs on these papers, and I actually got this layout done in a few hours, without the need for fussing with too much embellishing. The only other bits I added besides the papers, were some Heidi Swapp & Studio Calico wood veneer, some Heidi Swapp rub ons and a little journaling which I typed and printed from the computer.

A very clean and simple layout don't you think!!! Hope you can find some inspiration from this month's moodboard over at Scrappingclearly! (Click the link to see the great prizes on offer!)
