Goodbye Scrappingclearly, hello Kraft Plus September Challenge

Hi all! A whole month has flown by since my last post...too fast, this year is going way too fast!!! I have let go of one of my Design Team positions to try and free up a little more time for myself. I said goodbye to Scrappingclearly, last month, it was a fab 18 months with them, and on their blog, you can see my post of a collection of my favourite projects created using their products:
https://scrapping-clearly.blogspot.com.au/2017/08/time-to-say-goodbyefrom-tania.html

Today I'm sharing my latest layout for Kraft Plus! This one was very inspiring, it's all about Bees and Hexagons, check out the prompt board here:

Here's my take on this fab challenge!!!

I used lots of Kaszazz goodies on here, the hexagon die was perfect for this challenge, I cut out my photo into a large hexagon and with the left over bits from the photo, I made one of them into another embellishment, to repeat the water image. (See below)

Stamps from Kaszazz, Stencil from Kaisercraft, Chipboard word from Memory Maze. Patterned papers from Echo Park, and there's some Colourblast, Colourpaste on there too!

Thanks for looking!!!

Scrappingclearly September sketch

Happy Saturday everyone!!! I love being a Design Team member, it opens up so many possibilities and sometimes challenges me to move a little outside my comfort zone and try new things. Well this month's sketch at Scrappingclearly, is designed by me. The first one I have ever done, and I have to say it's a little addictive!! I have lots of experience with layers in Photoshop and thought I would use that. As it turns out, I am exploring the mountains of possibilities within Microsoft Word, and that's where I created this sketch!

Here is my take on the sketch, using the gorgeous Starshine range, by Shimelle and American Crafts.

I love working with a sketch, it makes life so much easier when scrapping. I've cut alot of my embellishments from the patterned papers, there's a few little wood veneers from Studio Calico on there & some Heidi Swapp and Carolees Creations alphas.

Can you notice the shiny Colour Blast Colour Paste stars on there?? I made my own stencil for those, see below!!

Thanks for looking!!!
Have a great day!!!

Scrap the Girls August moodboard DT page

Well, hello, it's the 1st of August, and that means a new month and another new challenge. Yippee! I absolutely love this month's moodboard over at Scrap the Girls, I know you will too, it's just stunning!! Take a look....

I was immediately drawn to the image in the top right and thought my Kaszazz Mandala stamps would work a treat in my background.

First I added a coat of clear Gesso to my white cardstock, then sprayed some Dylusions inks and water. When that was dry, I started stamping my background. Aswell as the Mandala stamps, I also used some other Kaszazz stamps, the mesh stamp & net stamp.
I've used some Colourblast, colour paste in blue through a stencil and also used it to colour my chipboard arrow and feathers. (Which was one of the fab pieces I got from a prize I won from Dusty Attic.) It is stunning!

Actually, I did alot of colouring on this page!!! I coloured the flowers with Dylusions sprays and used Alcohol ink Art markers to colour bits of the Mandala stamp. Flowers are from Scrap Matrix and Merci.
There's some free glitter stickers and a paperclip from an old Scrapbooking Memories magazine, some twine and hessian, 7 Dots papers, stickers and journal tag, (which I've hidden), and a gorgeous Kaisercraft clear word sticker.

Hope you like my layout, it's one of my favourites I think!! TFL,
Tania

Kraft Plus IT'S A PUZZLE challenge

So I'm just scraping this one in for the deadline for the Kraft Plus June challenge. This month, the requirement was to use jigsaw puzzle pieces on your project. As per the insp board here:

I have had these puzzle pieces in my stash for quite some time, they were from American Crafts and there were bright coloured spotty pieces in the pack. I painted them with a layer of Gesso and then some Dylusions paint, then covered them in Glossy Accents. My background is layered with stamping, texture paste and Colourblast, Colour paste, in blue....love the shine on this, the photo probs. doesn't do it justice but I will be taking a better pic tomorrow, in day light.
My papers are from Heidi Swapp and I used some scraps from a FREE Scrapbooking Memories Paper. There's some Colour shine on there and my Chipboard title is from 2 Crafty. I painted this with the same blue Colour Paste and it came up beautifully! Oh and there's a cute little Flutterby Designs Flair on there!!! TFL!!

Scrap the Girls my new DT gig!!!

Gosh, It's so hard keeping secrets in the Scrapping World. But thankfully, today I can reveal that I have a spot on the Scrap the Girls Design Team, and I am totally thrilled about it!!! Today is the BIG reveal of the new Design Team, along with our takes on the June moodboard, which I totally fell in love with!! Here it is:

The sponsor for this month's prize for this challenge is D-Lish Scraps. I love their Just add paper kits and had purchased the SUNNY DAZE KIT, which was perfect for this Moodboard. From this kit, I used Washi tape, doily, flair, journal spots, bitty bag, sequin waste and flowers!

Other products used on my layout were Dylusions sprays, (for the background), (on Kaszazz cardstock), Colour Blast, Colour paste in Sunshine...oooh so in love with this!!! A Kaisercraft stencil, patterned papers by 7 Dots, Heidi Swapp & Kaisercraft. I did a bit of stash busting which is always good and used some Basic Grey rub ons that have been in my stash for ever! (Some of them I rubbed onto a transparency sheet to make 3D embellishments with them.) I was also happy to use another chipboard frame from Heidi Swapp, love them, but always have trouble adding them to a layout!!!

My journaling is hidden in the itty bitty bag, I've pulled it out to show you, front and back!!!

TFL, and stay tuned for more DT creations from me, and why not go and have a play along with this month's moodboard challenge!

My Kraft Plus challenge entry

I have been frustrated this week, back and neck troubles have kept me away from my happy place at my craft desk. I thought I would try something smaller for this challenge, so I made a card. Here is the inspiration board from Kraft Plus...

Wow, what a fantastic image!!! But, it overwhelmed me a little. Once I sat down and looked at it, and individual clusters, I could let the inspiration take over. I started with a Gesso background, a bit of stamping and then some Colour Blast colour paste. I received the cool ship, chipboard piece & travel  tape from a pocket letter swap, and used lots of twine in the background. Then just stamped all my travel words in different colour Archival inks. Hope you like it!!!
