Holidays and scrapping

WE enjoyed a very quiet Christmas this year, and a very quiet holiday so far. Lots of sw3imming in our pool, a little shopping! (Taylah and Jack spent some of their Christmas money, on a Ripstik and a skateboard), so lots of practicing over at the park. Taylah is mastering the art of ripstiking verry quickly, as is her Dad! We had a lovely visit from Dave's younger sister a few days ago, a great afternoon with them. We have friends coming over to celebrated the new year this evening, should be good! I have managed to get a bit of crafting in among the long days! I have been seriously playing with my new Bellish Ezy Press die cut and embossing machine from Kaszazz. Also, the Funky Blooms range of papers, stamps and matching cut outs. This is what I have come up with. For the Funky Bloons cards, i was inspired by some work in Scrapbooking Memories mag by Jodie Dolbel, then I went off on a tangent! My layout derived from a sketch, and I cut strips of the Funky blooms ribbons in half for my borders. I used all products by Kaszazz, made some embossed card with the Ezy Press and the Miss You die. Sponged the edges with Fluid Chalk Berrylicious, and added some ribbon, bling and cut outs.
If you would like any info on the Ezy Press machine or any of the Kaszazz products, please contact me, the new catalogue is beautiful and bursting at the seams with yummy stash!

Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year everyone!

Back from the madness!

Back from the madness of Adelaide, it's hot, it's cold, it's humid etc. Now we are back into the full on humidity. It was great catching up with family, but very tiring. Thought I would come home for a rest, but who am I kidding. I'm having a birthday party for my little man this week, then it's my birthday in a few weeks, school concerts, nativity plays and the list goes on until Christmas. Not to mention a pile up of photo editing and where is the time for scrapping?
I made a few Chrissie cards while I was away, but am seriously getting withdrawals for some scrapping. The photographers out there will be happy to know, I took around 1000 images in my 17 days away. Alot of them were spent on the beautiful pandas at the Adelaide zoo....Well worth the visit, we spent nearly an hour in the enclosure, just watching them play... Totally gorgeous!!

Christmas layout and holidays

Well, we are on the count down now till we fly out from Cairns to Adelaide next Thursday. Kids are so excited, they can't wait! We are off for 2 1/2 weeks. It will be great to catch up with family.
Here is a layout I created using all Kaszazz products once again. I have scrapped this pic before of my kids, but just love it and wanted to scrap it again. I have made the tree out of punched flower shapes and wrapped some ribbon and bling around it for a realistic effect. The papers are the beautiful Merry Christmas range, and have used a few stamps there aswell.

I started in Christmas mode and created these cards, using the Merry Christmas papers, Smooch accent inks and my trusty scallop punch-All Kaszazz products. I've decided to submit them for a workshop.
There are also some cards here I made using the Funky Blooms range of papers and cut outs from kaszazz- If you like anything here and would like to enquire about products or put in an order, please contact me,at email: tan.dave@bigpond.com

Let's just say I've had a busy 3 days! Family fun day went well on Saturday, Taylah and Jack were with me, Tay found her friends and wandered off a bit, Jack stayed close by and was very well behaved! It rained then it was sooo hot. Had lots of kids come along and make cards using the Rollagraph and chalks, they loved it!
Went to an Enjo demo that night and had a few champas with the girls. I didn't know they now did face and body products, it was great!
Did some photos for a friend at her little man's Christening yesterday morning, got some lovely candids of him before the ceremony, which was just aswell, he wasn't too happy about the whole wetting of the head thing!
Then it was off to a farewell party in the arve, kids were having a great time in the pool, of course hard to get them out when it was time for home. I have a kindy committee meeting tonight and then hopefully a nice relaxing day with Jack tomorrow! Very busy! Looking forward to the Kaszazz New Products release next month!

More happy kids

My 2nd and last kids workshop for this school holidays went off with a bang. 7 students who were all happy with their litte mini books. I used some lovely, retired papers (Pretty in Pink range), from Kaszazz and had them make their own embellies, by cutting all the flowers out of patterned paper. (Hope that wasn't mean of me!) Taylah used photos that she took at the Rainforest Habitat the day before, her first real go with my little camera and she took some great ones! Here's some pics of the kids and my sample mini book.

Kids workshops

Well, a week over of school holidays and one more to go. We managed to keep ourselves busy for the first week and I held another kids workshop on Wednesday. The class was full with 6 students, they did a layout and card using some retired Kaszazz papers, which are bright and funky! They were all well behaved and really enjoyed it, they always finish alot sooner than I expect them to. They are not perfectionists like the adults, which I love! They all ended up different, which I also love! Here are a few pics to show off their creations.

Family

I have wanted to scrap about my grandparents for ages, I have had a few old photos, but not much info. With this Kaszazz workshop sample, I was able to finally get some of my family history on a page. This is the 2H124 Rustic layout, I love it. This is my Nan and Pa, my Mum's parents, and inside the booklet on the left page, I have put down s much info as I could. This is a wonderful 2 hour workshop!
