Total silliness!!

Hi all, today I'm sharing my latest Design Team layout for Scrappingclearly! This one is based on this month's sketch, which is here:

I really love a sketch, and this one was really cool and nice and simple, not too many layers. It meant that I could have some fun on my background with some mixed media products.

I have a few of those cute little Heidi Swapp stencils, the one used was the Heidi Swapp circle stencil and I added some gorgeous Prima Art Alchemy paint in Opal Magic!!! This is a beautiful paint!!!!  You can see how sometimes the circles look blue, and if you hold the paper in a different spot, under the light, it looks gold! I also have some Dylusions Mica sprays on my desk, so sprayed some Vibrant Turquiose over the top. So shiny!!! It is really hard to pick it up in the photo! You can sort of see it below!

I then did some stamping, and added some patterned papers by Chickaniddy, and this gorgeous Maggie Holmes black and gold piece. (It's actually vellum!)  The chevron stamps were made with a coupe of Glitz Design, roller stamps, I sooooo love them!!! I used my Kaszazz, die cutting machine to cut the circles.
For my title, I used Heidi Swapp puffy word stickers and a Heidi Swapp water colour word, which I painted with Dylusions paint and watered it down. I placed a layer of Glossy accents over the top to make it pop!

I'm quite happy with this layout!!! Love all the shininess!!! TFL!

This weeks Art Challenge

Hi all, I've managed a few Art projects this week, which makes me feel happy! I'm always up for a challenge, and the latest one I have discovered is with Marta Lapkowska, and her Creative Cafe, 52 cafe cards challenge!! So, you get yourself a deck of cards, I have a few spare packs from the kids showbags the last few years!!!

And then you just make ART on your card! One per week for 52 weeks!!!
I had fun with this, a great little mixed media canvas to work on. I Gessoed, and then started with paints, stamping, glued paper bits, texture paste...Then I found some of my bits and pieces in my Art Journal stash drawer and glued an old earring, some chipboard, a flower, and some gold twine. After a further layer of Gesso on the embellishments, I used some of the gorgeous, Lindy's, (Lindy's Stamp gang) Starburst Colour shots, which are powders and react with water. They are so shimmery and subtly gorgeous!!!
Here is the end result!!!! Week 1 done!

Thanks for looking,

Heidi Swapp Travel themed book pages

Hi everyone! Well, I have hit the ground running for 2017, with my crafty projects. Every now and then, when I am time poor, I try and opt for something a little less time consuming with my memory keeping. I got this great Heidi Swapp Travel themed book from Scrappingclearly, and I have started documenting some pages from my recent trip to Adelaide. I have been sharing these on the Scrappingclearly blog for my Design Team posts.

It's such a simple way of memory keeping, I love it. I've just used some Heidi Swapp washi stickers, sheer stickers and cardstock stickers, some paper off cuts from the Chickaniddy 365 range and the sheer stickers that came with the book. The photos just slip in to the 4 x 4" slot, you can cut down your 4x6" pics! I love the journal lines, it encourages me to tell more of the story. We had such a great time, lots of quality family time, and I can't wait to add more of these stories to my pages!

TFL!!!

First Design Team layout for Kraft Plus

Hi everyone! I am so thrilled to be sharing my very first Design Team layout for Kraft Plus Challenges this month! It is a wonderful feeling when you are invited to be on a Design Team, I feel very honoured, flattered and excited, as I have played along with almost every one of their challenges since they first started!
For this month's challenge, we had a prompt...ON YOUR BIKE...Specifics are, use a bike somewhere on your project, and of course, must be a Kraft background.

Here's the prompt board:

Image may contain: bicycle and outdoor

This is what I came up with....

I've used cardstock from Kaszazz, and my papers and matching stickers are from AUTHENTIQUE, which I was gifted by the lovely Vicki over at Scrap Matrix!

My background started with some stencilling and stamping of some cogs, using Kaszazz products. I flicked some Dylusions spray drops on there, and some Distress paint, watered down, also from Kaszazz. The title and bike image, are made using a couple of awesome screen prints from Heidi Swapp.

I am really making a concious effort to journal more on my projects. I usually hide it somewhere behind the photo if I have a lot to say. Another favourite way to journal is around the border of my page, which is what I have done here. The pics are of my little man, riding his bike on a BMX track in Alice Springs, during a driving/camper trailer holiday we did in 2012.

I acquired the cute litte metal cogs, sheer clock & film strip, from a pocket letter swap! I love having these random bits of ephemera and embellies, that come in handy when you just can't find the right item in your stash!

I'm looking forward to the next challenge with Kraft Plus. hope you can play along with them!!!

Scrap the Girls January moodboard 2017

Hello and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Let's hope 2017 brings us all happiness, success, and makes our dreams become realities!!! I have a few dreams, goals and plans, I really want to put them down on paper and make them happen!!!
This month is my last reveal as a Design Team member for SCRAP THE GIRLS CHALLENGES! I have loved my term over there, there's a great bunch of inspiring girls, and we are handing over the reins to a new bunch of peeps....yet to be revealed.
Here's the moodboard, which was a very challenging one, I have to say:

I couldn't find any papers to help me with the colours, so I decided to focus on the metallics in the image, and I stamped and embossed some Kaszazz mandala stamps in gold, wine and copper. It looks very shiny!! (Hard to pick it up on the photo!)
It's a bit of a thrifty layout this one, as the stickers are all from a paper pack I bought for a couple of bucks at the Salvo's store!!! I mounted them all onto card for dimension, add a few flowers from Green Tara and Seriously Scrapbooking, and finished by embossing a chipboard word from Kaszazz.

I love this pic of Mum and I, which was taken on our recent visit to Adelaide!!!
TFL,
