More Than Words mini challenge

So today I am fading very fast with the dreaded flu, which was kindly passed onto me by my dear little 10 yr old boy!!! he's been sick for over a week! I still managed to get a little crafty challenge in at my desk, and that's what I love about the More Than Words Mini Challenges. (Click the link to take you to their Facebook page where the mini challenges are held!) if you would like to take a look at the Monthly Challenge and all the gorgeous inspiration, click here!
So the criteria for the mini challenge was to use the word FLY on a card/tag or ATC. I love tags, so that's what I made:

I've used a Kaisercraft script embossing folder, Distress Inks, Gesso to fade out the middle background, and coloured the Kaszazz bird stamps with Gelatos. The flowers are from Kaisercraft and Glitz Design, the lace is also from Glitz. There's a couple of little die cuts for the branches, (Kaszazz).

How cue are the little eggs!!! Finally I get to use up a few of those random pearls in my stash! The nest was made from some household twine. I separated it all and then bunched it up. My sentiment is a Dylusions stamp and the FLY stickers are from American Crafts. I am quite happy with the end result!!! TFL, Tania

Kraft Plus Black and White challenge

Hi there, today I am sharing my take on the Kraft Plus Black and White Challenge this month!!! Wow, there have been so many cool layouts shared by ultra talented people, so much inspiration!!! Here is the inspiration image:

And here is my take on the challenge!!! I have used loads of different products on this!!!

I really loved this challenge, I love doing mixed media backgrounds, and this one came together quite easy because of the limited colour pallette.
I started with some black Gesso & a diamond stencil from Kaszazz. Then used some Kaszazz stamps and rub ons. For a contrasting layer, I used a cut file and my silhouette machine for the moroccan white backing. My paper layers are a mix of Kaszazz, Kaisercraft, and some left overs from the FREE papers that come with the SBM magazines. There's also a piece of transparency from a Hambly overlay.

This layout is about sending a message to myself and being strong!!! I have a few goals, and I need to start telling myself I can do this!!!! Love the title, which is a 2 Crafty chipboard piece! The Tim Holtz Idea-ology small talk stickers, are just what I needed to finish my layout off!!!

Thanks for looking!!!! Tania

Scrap the Girls April Moodboard!!!

So I fell in love with this gorgeous, pastel moodboard over at Scrap the Girls this month!!! check it out!!!

Here's the layout I made from the gorgeous inspiration!!

I used a 7 dots page as my background, love their paper ranges!!! I've also used papers by Heidi Swapp, Kaszazz & Kaisercraft. You will also spy a little vellum on there, which I stamped my doily stamp onto. There's lots of other goodies on there. Some whipped spackle with my brick stencil, Francheville enamel them!! There's some washi tape, a D-Lish scraps flair, chipboard title from Scrap Matrix & some other little bits and pieces, including the gorgeous Collectables from Kaisercraft!

Paper Issues cut it up challenge

I looove the challenges over at Paper Issues, there is always something to inspire me every time I look through their challenges!!! For this challenge, there was a great Free cut file download, which you can find here: and it looks like this!

I haven't had my Silhouette machine all that long, so I really do need inspiration like this to get it out of the box! Here's what I did with it, using Heidi Swapp papers, chipboard stickers and ephemera, Kaisercraft word stickers and 2 Crafty chipboard. (Love the little people chippies, perfect for this layout of my Hubby and Daughter!)

There's a couple of little extras on there, such as the cute little paperclip holding my hidden journaling. (Not sure what make these are, as they came in my Pocket letter swaps!!!)

TFL!!! :) Tania
