Kraft Plus Challenge June

Hi all,
it's been awhile since my last post. I'm finding it hard to keep up with my Social Media outlets at the moment, due to being sick, but thought I would leave a little love on my blog today. I have a layout here for my Design Team sample over at Kraft Plus, this month. It's soooo inspiring this month and all about Dr. Seuss!! here's the inspiration board:

Current Challenge

So you can either be inspired by the board, or by anything Dr Seuss! here's my page, (and a few close ups), which I had the perfect photo for!!!

My kids are both good readers, so the photo was from book week a few years ago and I chose a quote to go with that theme, and made some embellishments using a TCW stencil and Dylusions paint. I finished those off with some bow ties made on my Ezy Press and a Kaszazz die.

Thanks for looking :)

Kraft Plus October challenge

Hi all, I'm here to share my Design Team take on this month's Kraft Plus challenge, use something clear on your project.
I decided to do an Art Journal page for this one, my last piece of art, before we go on holidays to Singapore for 10 days..woohoo!
I made a background with some strokes of gesso, followed by some Distress Paints in Cracked Pistachio, Dusty Concord and Picked Raspberry, loving this combination.

I used a TCW stencil and added some texture paste, followed by some stamping with the awesome Paper Artsy, stamps by Tracy Scott. I stamped some directly onto the background and some onto a pre made Distress Oxide ink background, and fussy cut them to adhere to my page.

I stuck some clear, epoxy circle stickers on top of some of the larger circles, then went around some of the circles with my white Dylusions pen . I used smaller epoxy dots for the smaller stamped, circles, which had been coloured with Alcohol Markers from Kaszazz.

I'm quite chuffed with the result!
Thanks for looking and hope you find time to play along with this month's challenge!!!

Me Time!!!

Yesterday, I was lucky enough to find a few hours in my day to create, just for me!! Doesn't happen very often at the moment. I am lucky enough to have access to some awesome online classes over at Aall and Create. I took a card class with Manuela and converted it to an Art Journal page. Man I am in love with this one!! I used a mix of stamps from  KASZAZZ. Kaisercraft, Dina Wakley and PRIMA FINNABAIR and the watercolour background was made using Brusho powder watercolour paint and Lindy's Starburst colourshot, which is also a powder which reacts awesomely when you spray it with water!!!

Love the Mandala stamps from Kaszazz and I've been wanting to use them as a border, just an idea I had for awhile, so they worked perfect for this. The Day Dreaming and Angel wings stamps are two of my fave's from Kaszazz!!!

The sketched face stamp is from a Dina Wakley set, and I've coloured it using our Kaszazz, Alcohol Ink Art Markers. Hope you like this page!!

Latest Design Team News and project!!!

Hi everyone. My latest exciting news was that I have joined the Design Team over at Memory Maze!! I  was thrilled to be asked to join the team and also a little excited at the challenge of moving slightly out of my comfort zone, as I have never really used a lot of chipboard on my layouts.

I received an awesome pack of goodies from Sally, to start me off on my journey. Funny story. I thought I would make a tag, to ease myself into it...Well, after spilling a bottle of Distress Paint, (had to be black), all over my table, and the floor, and my dress...the tag just happened to get in the firing line also, and now looks nothing like I intended it to look!! Stay tuned, I will recreate that baby another day!!!

So instead, I went off on a total different tangent and created a lovely watercolour background with some Art Spectrum watercolour paints. (These are to die for. They are a little expensive, but a little goes a long way!!) I also used Dylusions spray inks on there and watered them down.

My background stamping was alot of fun!! I got me some new Paperartsy stamps, (Tracy Scott designs), from my friend Vicki at Scrap Matrix!!! The rectangles and bubbles stamps are from these packs. You can see the stencilled reverse bricks and the gorgeous chipboard wire butterflies in there, from Memory Maze, along with the chippy title. I coloured all my chipboard with some Smooch accent ink I have had in my stash for so long. They were previously available from Kaszazz, but have long been out of range, it's time for me to use them!!! They are perfect for the chipboard pieces!!!

Other products used were: HEIDI SWAPP STAMPS, KELLY PURKEY STAMPS, GLITZ DESIGNS, LARGE CRYSTALS and AMY TAN & KAISERCRAFT papers.

Thanks for dropping by!!!

Mini canvas for Scrappingclearly

Hi all I'm here to share my latest Design Team post for Scrappingclearly! I decided to stay with my Mixed Media urges this time and create a mini canvas using the cool Vicki Boutin Art Crayons, and some stencils from TCW and Dina Wakley. There are a mountain of other products used, which you can find out more about on the Scrappinclearly blog in my detailed post! The canvas is from Kaszazz, it's 5 x 7" in size! Love working on them! The stamps are from the Prima Finnabair range!

Mixed with water, you can use the crayons as watercolours for your background.

Add some stamping for your first layer.

Then add some stencilling and some fab Colourblast paste in Bling!

Look at the shine from the Colourpaste!

Some close ups of the embellishment cluster!

Thanks so much for looking!!!!

Kraft Plus, Plus one colour challenge

Hi all, can you believe it's the first of June? Half way through the year..too scary! Today I am up on the Kraft Plus blog with my Design Team sample of our June challenge. It's Kraft, Plus one colour. check out the inspiring challenge board:

Now I was down to the wire with timing this month...again, just have had a very busy time lately!!! My friend and I hosted our very own, very first scrapbooking retreat here in Darwin over the weekend, it went awesome by the way, but wow, alot of work involved and it's taking me awhile to not feel tired!!!
So this layout was pulled together very quickly, just by opening a few of my embellishment drawers, paper scrap drawer and I have a little folder with odd journal spots, which also came in handy.

The first thing I did was stencil the words on my background, using the Kaszazz, Destiny stencil and some Distress Oxide inks. So smooth on the Kraft background!!! Then I added some texture paste through a Kaszazz stencil. For some colour drops, I added some Gelatos with water and let it run, but then covered most of it up with the photo. One of my favourite things about this layout, is that I used up a few little things I have had sitting in my stash forever!! Can you see part of the little, blue, cocktail umbrella sticking out under the word Magic, above!!!??? I also used a piece of it under the bottom of the pic.

The butterflies are from an ephemera pack from Grace Taylor, (Grant Archival), I've had them for sooo long!!! I added some art marker to change the colour in the middle from yellow to blue! There's some sequins, some washi tape from D-Lish scraps, and some flicks of the stem of the Dylusions bottle.

There's a little banner from a Kaisercraft collectables pack and a doily and a little journal spot from Autumn Leaves, which I had stamped and put in my little folder for a rainy day. It's actually kind of refreshing and quick working with just one colour. You are able to add black/white and neutrals to your project to help it come together. I hope you can find time to visit the k+ blog and check out the challenge samples from the other DT members.

Scrappingclearly May moodboard

Hi everyone, today I'm sharing my Design Team post over at Scrappingclearly, with some cards for the May moodboard. I used the Atlas Collection papers from Pink Paislee, which I really love!!! Here is the moodboard!

I love the Autumn colours this month, and these papers just worked perfectly!!!

The papers have a cool shipping tag design, so I cut some pieces out and made my own tags, with the Stampin Up tag punch, some eyelets, which I've had in my stash for years!!! (Win!) Then I used some twine which was a FREEBIE with the Scrapbooking Memories mag, a few years back! All cardstock is from Kaszazz, and the washi tape is from Teresa Collins.

For my '50' card, (all my friends are turning 50 this year!!) I used the Atlas papers as a background, and then stamped a Kaszazz water skiier image, and white embossed on black card. Then broke out the Distress Oxide inks, which I am playing with a bit lately!! I was aiming for the impression of water, waves or droplets, and I think it worked reasonable well! I flicked some Dylusions spray and mica sprays on top and it looks very shiny in the light!

The alphas are from Amy Tangerine!
Hope you can find time to visit over at SC and play along with the challenges this month. TFL!!!

Scrappingclearly March moodboard!!

Umm, yes, so I am a bit back to front with my posts this month, but I forgot to share my Design Team layout for the March moodboard over at Scrappingclearly. I think this is one of my favourite mixed media layouts, it was a great moodboard!!

I got to play with some gorgeous art crayons from Vicki Boutin, and a Heidi Swapp art screen with some Art Screen ink. This was the first layer of my page. I sprayed some Dylusions ink over the top and then used a circle stencil from Kaszazz and coloured with the crayons and then added some water to them to blend them!! They are lovely and creamy!

My paper range was Chickaniddy, 365, I still have some of this left from my Scrappingclearly kit and I love it!!!

Thanks for looking!~!!

Kraft Plus April challenge

Hi all!!! Another new month is upon us, and another great challenge from Kraft Plus this month!! Seriously, Sandra and Amanda are rocking these challenges and graphics for the modboards, I hope you can play along!!! So this month, it was your challenge to use paint chips on a layout!! I have been collectiong these babies for awhile now and have bags of them!!! Here's my layout for the Design Team sample!!

I had so many ideas in my head and I knew it would involve using my Kaszazz punches for some type of shapes. Then I came up with the idea of a banner, and incorporated my cute, banner stamps from Kaszazz.

I used some Kaisercraft papers, from the 6.5", Happy Snaps pad, some ephemera from the same range and some journal cards from the Say Cheese pack.

You can see I've punched and cut half circles for my banner and along the bottom of my photo!

The pretty enamel dots are from D-Lish Scraps !! From my remaining paint chips, I cut some little banners to help embellish!!!

Hope you've been inspired to have a go at our challenge this month!!!
