Scrappy Canary November Sketch challenge

Hi there, I've been back to my scrapping desk after a busy week of craft fairs, birthday parties and all things kids and Christmas!!! Just in time to sneak this layout in, which I made using the Scrappy Canary blog sketch for November!
Here is the sketch:

And here is my layout, using Kaiser papers as a base, then I gessoed the middle so I could spray mist a blue alpha stencil for a school themed background.I went a bit random with the chevron stamp, some arrow stamps and sequins, and found a few spots for my new Heidi Swapp stamps, which are so cute. I have collected quite a few of them now and I love the little words and quotes.

Christmas tags and cards

Well I have one more week until the Saltwater Craft Fair here in Darwin. I have been madly making cards, tags, all things Christmas and all things papercraft. Here are some more tags I made using the same design I previously came up with. I embossed stars onto the background with the new Kaszazz embossing folder, and used the shield die to cuts out the shapes. Stamps and ribbon are also Kaszazz and the tiny red gems are from a gift I received from a fellow papercrafter and friend.

...and some cute and simple little cards I made using inspiration from Pinterest!
Below, is a pic of some Christmas gift boxes I made. My 11 yr old daughter made some of these at school last year and taught me how to make them!!! (Chip off the old block!) I love them! I have seen instructions for them elsewhere, and probably on Pinterest. If you search, Origami boxes, you are sure to come up with some variations!

D-Lish Scraps November moodboard challenge!

Hi again! I can't believe another month has come around since the last moodboard challenge at D-Lish Scraps. I'm glad though, as i was in need of some more challenge inspiration!

And here's my layout: 'Story' is about my two little darlings who are growing up so fast! This photo was taken in 2008, just after i had my first solo holiday away from them. I had missed them so much, and i got home and they were so sun tanned. They had been in the pool every day with their Dad! This is one of my favourite pics!

.

I love all the gold in this one,
I went a bit mad, using loads of Heidi Swapp project life embellishments, aswell as her papers and fab plastic words which I attatched to some white cardstock and fussy cut to make them stand out as my title on my page.
This pic shows up close, the Perfect Pearls I used with Perfect medium and a Kaszazz stencil. There's also a little Ranger Ice Stickles on there, some American Crafts-Dear Lizzy papers, washi tape and some cute banner stickers from Echo Park. The gold cardstock is from Kaszazz.TFL!!!

Card frenzy!!!

Hi, I found a few hours of time for me yesterday and went on a mad card making frenzy! (I made 23 cards in total!) Which is good because that craft fair is coming up really soon!!! I decided to revisit my enormous stash of rub ons which have been locked away for awhile. These should never be underestimated, really, they have a multitude of uses and I guess as they have been out of sight for awhile they were out of mind aswell!
Anyway, I love Fancy Pants Designs stuff, I always have, and have had some of their gorgeous rub ons in my stash for way too long!!!
I made a pretty baby card using a quote from the rub ons, some flowers, and then I rubbed a larger flower onto some white card and fussy cut it for a 3D embellishment. The cute little birds are from some discontinued Kaszazz rub ons! I Backed the little panel with some cardstock and onto a white card, which I embossed, (letterpress style), with a Stampin Up's hexagon die and some Colorbox ink. Hope you like!!!
The next card was inspired by a few different cards I spyed on Pinterest. I used some bling cardstock for my base card followed by a panel of silver. Then a panel of embossed white card, I sprayed with Smooch Spritz and dabbed and flicked some spritz and paint on there for the background. I also used a background stamp and some twine underneath a small punched panel of card, and finished off with a little touch of Heidi Swapp's paper, & embelly, and of course, my Ranger, enamel dots. I love the Kaisercraft wooden flourishes, this was half a one I had stashed away for a rainy day!
I made a batch of quick cards from an old Kaszazz demonstration card design I always loved. So simple, using the 2-step Hibiscus stamps, some lovely Colorbox fluid chalk inks and some vellum.

I finished them off with some pearls and a little Ice Stickles! These are great to have made up for those special occasions! Leave them blank ( with no sentiment), for a go to card in a jiffy!TFL
