A lesson complete at Big Picture Classes

So here's another nifty little card I made inspired by Big Picture Classes and Lea Lawson.

the watercolour background is created using Distress Inks on my craft mat, then spritzed with water. I took my watercolour card and Smooshed, (as per Lea!!!) it around to blend the ink colours. I love this technique and have played with it on layouts and cards previously. I'm now working on a set using this technique and my brand new Kaszazz Dream catcher stamp set...Yummo, watch this space!

CARDS FOR EVERY SEASON

Hi there! Today I have a neat little card to share which was inspired by a class over at Big Picture Classes. This one was a card class which is part of a series, and  the Spring cards are taught by Lea Lawson. I love the simplicity, and it was the inspiration I needed to create a card for an old school friend who lost her Mum recently. A sympathy card is always hard when it's specific, and I really struggled because this lady was such a beautiful lady and I just couldn't seem to find the right words and headspace to get it done. Thanks Lea !
I broke out my Ezy Press machine to emboss a dots background on white card! (haven't used that baby for awhile!) Plenty of doilies in my stash, so good to use one of those. There's a Maya Road butterfly on there, coloured with an alcohol ink marker, some Amy Tangerine papers and Francheville enamel dots! I finished the banner off with a lovely stamp from Kaszazz!
