Another attempt at Memory Files

I sooo love Heidi Swapp and all of her amazing products, tutorials and My Craft Channel videos!! Her talent never ceases to amaze me. When I first saw her Memory File scrapbooking it wowed me and took my craft to a whole new exciting level. I've collected a few but so far haven't made many, but i intend to do alot more of this style of scrapping, especially for birthdays and events where lots of photos are taken.
This one is for my daughter's 11th birthday which she celebrated in January!
The outer file is a Color Pop file sprayed with a little pink Color Shine. I've decorated with some cute banners and lovely acrylic butterfly, (part of my big Heidi haul from Spotlight. So happy they are stocking Heidi Products!!!

These pics show the gorgeous colour I ended up with when I mixed Tropicana Teal and Pink Color Shine!!! Love it!! And love the Color Magic ephemera!

This is what you see when you open up the file. I've used a few other brand products to compliment Heidi's products. Some paper from Rosie's studio, some washi tape and some cute stamps from Kaiser. I got myself some of Heidi's cute little stamps too which you can see dotted throughout!
I actually traced around a photo stack and made my own, and decorated with a few stamps from Kaszazz and some Glitz roller stamps.

Love the gorgeous tiny star stamps from Heidi.

Think this is my favourite page. I made the smaller memory file from her new Hello today paper stack and decorated with some ephemera and a stamp. I made a little tag and banner for some journalling about all the things Taylah loves now or is doing right now!

This is what you see when you open up the smaller memory file.
I added a little part of a Project Life sleeve i cut out, to give me an extra flap in the photo stack!!! TFL...

Getting painty and inky over the weekend!!!

Well, I needed a project, (never mind the 5 or so UFO's I have sitting around waiting to be finished!!!) So I set of in blogland to find some inspiration. I had an idea to create a mini tag book full of inspirational words to live by. The idea to look at a word a day and bring that word into my life!!! I so need it right now!
As you will see here, I have used mainly Tim Holtz Distress products, loving the paints by the way!!
I began by using my Aquarell water colour crayons to give the tags a watercolour, soft background! Then got out the Distress inks and stamps and stencils to decorate. The reverse sides of the tags got a little brighter as I used Distress inks and paints for the backgrounds.

I handwrote the words in black crayon and went over them with a water brush!. Stay tuned for the finished book and the challenge it refers to!!! TFL :)

Bragging rights!!

I am so happy when I see my name in lights/well in the Scrapbooking Mags. at least. I don't often share with friends, as I don't have alot of crafty friends, but thought I am pretty deserving of sharing on my own blog. I do have a PUBLISHED WORK tab at the top of my blog, but think it's easier to post here. In issue No. 101 of  SCRAPBOOK CREATIONS MAG. I was a finalist in the Design Diva comp. my layout is below!!!

The latest Scrapbooking Memories mag is out. You will find my PHOTOBOOTH FUN AT THE FETE, layout, in the final encore pages, right at the back. The gorgeous Lizzy Hill made the cover of this month's issue!

New projects

Well, it's been quite a few weeks since I last blogged. All due to starting a new job, house hunting among other things and running kids around everywhere! I have still managed a little crafting time in between. Here are a few of my latest projects!

QUICK BOY'S BIRTHDAY CARD!
I used Kaszazz cardstock, embossing powder and stamp, a Simple Stories 3x4" card, A punched star from some kaszazz paper. The chevron stamp was a freebie from a mag. and I finished it off with some Ranger, enamel dots in white!!

THESE GIRLS LAYOUT!

These pics are from our recent trip back to Port Douglas to pack up our home. We had a night out for Hubby's birthday and i got to catch up with some wonderful friends who i miss very much!!! The layout was based on a sketch by Kelly Purkey. I used some AC Dear Lizzy papers, Simple Stories journal card, stamps by Kaszazz and Stampin Up, rub ons from Heidi Swapp and some generic alphas. I used a Kaszazz stencil for the bubble cirlces along with H. Swapp Color shine in Georgia Peach. There's also a couple of spritzed dots of color shine and dylusions, finished off with some Kaszazz washi tape and some small punched butterflies. TFL :)
