Kraft Plus Challenge June

Hi all,
it's been awhile since my last post. I'm finding it hard to keep up with my Social Media outlets at the moment, due to being sick, but thought I would leave a little love on my blog today. I have a layout here for my Design Team sample over at Kraft Plus, this month. It's soooo inspiring this month and all about Dr. Seuss!! here's the inspiration board:

Current Challenge

So you can either be inspired by the board, or by anything Dr Seuss! here's my page, (and a few close ups), which I had the perfect photo for!!!

My kids are both good readers, so the photo was from book week a few years ago and I chose a quote to go with that theme, and made some embellishments using a TCW stencil and Dylusions paint. I finished those off with some bow ties made on my Ezy Press and a Kaszazz die.

Thanks for looking :)

Kraft Plus October challenge

Hi all, I'm here to share my Design Team take on this month's Kraft Plus challenge, use something clear on your project.
I decided to do an Art Journal page for this one, my last piece of art, before we go on holidays to Singapore for 10 days..woohoo!
I made a background with some strokes of gesso, followed by some Distress Paints in Cracked Pistachio, Dusty Concord and Picked Raspberry, loving this combination.

I used a TCW stencil and added some texture paste, followed by some stamping with the awesome Paper Artsy, stamps by Tracy Scott. I stamped some directly onto the background and some onto a pre made Distress Oxide ink background, and fussy cut them to adhere to my page.

I stuck some clear, epoxy circle stickers on top of some of the larger circles, then went around some of the circles with my white Dylusions pen . I used smaller epoxy dots for the smaller stamped, circles, which had been coloured with Alcohol Markers from Kaszazz.

I'm quite chuffed with the result!
Thanks for looking and hope you find time to play along with this month's challenge!!!

Kraft Plus, Plus one colour challenge

Hi all, can you believe it's the first of June? Half way through the year..too scary! Today I am up on the Kraft Plus blog with my Design Team sample of our June challenge. It's Kraft, Plus one colour. check out the inspiring challenge board:

Now I was down to the wire with timing this month...again, just have had a very busy time lately!!! My friend and I hosted our very own, very first scrapbooking retreat here in Darwin over the weekend, it went awesome by the way, but wow, alot of work involved and it's taking me awhile to not feel tired!!!
So this layout was pulled together very quickly, just by opening a few of my embellishment drawers, paper scrap drawer and I have a little folder with odd journal spots, which also came in handy.

The first thing I did was stencil the words on my background, using the Kaszazz, Destiny stencil and some Distress Oxide inks. So smooth on the Kraft background!!! Then I added some texture paste through a Kaszazz stencil. For some colour drops, I added some Gelatos with water and let it run, but then covered most of it up with the photo. One of my favourite things about this layout, is that I used up a few little things I have had sitting in my stash forever!! Can you see part of the little, blue, cocktail umbrella sticking out under the word Magic, above!!!??? I also used a piece of it under the bottom of the pic.

The butterflies are from an ephemera pack from Grace Taylor, (Grant Archival), I've had them for sooo long!!! I added some art marker to change the colour in the middle from yellow to blue! There's some sequins, some washi tape from D-Lish scraps, and some flicks of the stem of the Dylusions bottle.

There's a little banner from a Kaisercraft collectables pack and a doily and a little journal spot from Autumn Leaves, which I had stamped and put in my little folder for a rainy day. It's actually kind of refreshing and quick working with just one colour. You are able to add black/white and neutrals to your project to help it come together. I hope you can find time to visit the k+ blog and check out the challenge samples from the other DT members.

Kraft Plus February challenge

Well, there goes the first month of 2017, wow!!!! I've been off to a great start, I have to say, lots of Arty, crafty projects and accolades, feeling very accomplished!!! Today I'm sharing my Design Team project for this awesome February sketch and colour themed board, over at Kraft Plus challenge blog!!!

Now, I love a sketch, and I love those colours, but for some reason, I couldn't get the mojo happening. I ended up deciding to make a card, which takes the pressure off a bit. That's the great thing about K+, you can make other projects, it doesn't necessarily have to be a scrapbook page, as long as it's on a Kraft background!

I started with a script background, using a Dusty Attic stencil with the new transparent gloss texture paste from Ranger, (now in the Kaszazz range...yay). I added some gorgeous, Prima, Art Alchemy paint in blue-gold, seriously one of my faves at the mo!

Then, I just layered up with some 7 dots tags, a Kaiser collectable & some Green Tara flowers. (Part of my stash shopping at Seriously Scrapbooking in Adelaide!!!)

There's some Kaszazz twine in there, and a die cut wreath & leaves, also Kaszazz! I have a cute little, clear stamp collection, so the sentiment came from there, Kaisercraft and I think Dear Lizzy or Amy Tan..oops can't remember.

I tried to show how the Art Alchemy paint changes colour, depending on the light!!!

Thanks for looking!!!

Scrap the Girls August moodboard DT page

Well, hello, it's the 1st of August, and that means a new month and another new challenge. Yippee! I absolutely love this month's moodboard over at Scrap the Girls, I know you will too, it's just stunning!! Take a look....

I was immediately drawn to the image in the top right and thought my Kaszazz Mandala stamps would work a treat in my background.

First I added a coat of clear Gesso to my white cardstock, then sprayed some Dylusions inks and water. When that was dry, I started stamping my background. Aswell as the Mandala stamps, I also used some other Kaszazz stamps, the mesh stamp & net stamp.
I've used some Colourblast, colour paste in blue through a stencil and also used it to colour my chipboard arrow and feathers. (Which was one of the fab pieces I got from a prize I won from Dusty Attic.) It is stunning!

Actually, I did alot of colouring on this page!!! I coloured the flowers with Dylusions sprays and used Alcohol ink Art markers to colour bits of the Mandala stamp. Flowers are from Scrap Matrix and Merci.
There's some free glitter stickers and a paperclip from an old Scrapbooking Memories magazine, some twine and hessian, 7 Dots papers, stickers and journal tag, (which I've hidden), and a gorgeous Kaisercraft clear word sticker.

Hope you like my layout, it's one of my favourites I think!! TFL,
Tania

First Design Team Reveal for Off The Rails!!

Another exciting day today, as the 1st project for my Off the Rails DT gig is revealed, yay. The moodboard was black + anything goes, with some gorgeous inspirational images. I decided to do a card. I was forced to be behind in my DT projects this month due to having SHINGLES which was quite horrific. So that lost about 2 weeks of valuable creating time for me.
But anyway, I came up with this card, and I'm quite chuffed with it!

I started with a white card base, and found a piece of Glossy black cardstock in my stash, from Kaszazz. (I had already punched a scalloped border on one edge, bonus!!!) I love the Glossy card. I added some Texture paste through a TCW stencil and while that was drying, stamped some Kaszazz Spring flowers and border stamps onto watercolour paper. I then had fun with my Kaszazz watercolour pencils and my Aquash water brush, colouring them in.
I wanted to add something special to the large flower centres, so used some Scrap Matrix micro beads.

I attatched and mounted flowers, cut them up a little to piece them together and added some die cut Leafy Flourishes, (also Kaszazz), and one of my favourite Heidi Swapp die cut words, 'happy'. Then stamped a birthday sentiment and embossed it in white! Hope you like it, and don't forget to visit Off the Rails blog for some more Design Team inspiration and current moodboard.
