Kraft Plus Challenge June

Hi all,
it's been awhile since my last post. I'm finding it hard to keep up with my Social Media outlets at the moment, due to being sick, but thought I would leave a little love on my blog today. I have a layout here for my Design Team sample over at Kraft Plus, this month. It's soooo inspiring this month and all about Dr. Seuss!! here's the inspiration board:

Current Challenge

So you can either be inspired by the board, or by anything Dr Seuss! here's my page, (and a few close ups), which I had the perfect photo for!!!

My kids are both good readers, so the photo was from book week a few years ago and I chose a quote to go with that theme, and made some embellishments using a TCW stencil and Dylusions paint. I finished those off with some bow ties made on my Ezy Press and a Kaszazz die.

Thanks for looking :)

Kraft Plus October challenge

Hi all, I'm here to share my Design Team take on this month's Kraft Plus challenge, use something clear on your project.
I decided to do an Art Journal page for this one, my last piece of art, before we go on holidays to Singapore for 10 days..woohoo!
I made a background with some strokes of gesso, followed by some Distress Paints in Cracked Pistachio, Dusty Concord and Picked Raspberry, loving this combination.

I used a TCW stencil and added some texture paste, followed by some stamping with the awesome Paper Artsy, stamps by Tracy Scott. I stamped some directly onto the background and some onto a pre made Distress Oxide ink background, and fussy cut them to adhere to my page.

I stuck some clear, epoxy circle stickers on top of some of the larger circles, then went around some of the circles with my white Dylusions pen . I used smaller epoxy dots for the smaller stamped, circles, which had been coloured with Alcohol Markers from Kaszazz.

I'm quite chuffed with the result!
Thanks for looking and hope you find time to play along with this month's challenge!!!

First Design Team Reveal for Off The Rails!!

Another exciting day today, as the 1st project for my Off the Rails DT gig is revealed, yay. The moodboard was black + anything goes, with some gorgeous inspirational images. I decided to do a card. I was forced to be behind in my DT projects this month due to having SHINGLES which was quite horrific. So that lost about 2 weeks of valuable creating time for me.
But anyway, I came up with this card, and I'm quite chuffed with it!

I started with a white card base, and found a piece of Glossy black cardstock in my stash, from Kaszazz. (I had already punched a scalloped border on one edge, bonus!!!) I love the Glossy card. I added some Texture paste through a TCW stencil and while that was drying, stamped some Kaszazz Spring flowers and border stamps onto watercolour paper. I then had fun with my Kaszazz watercolour pencils and my Aquash water brush, colouring them in.
I wanted to add something special to the large flower centres, so used some Scrap Matrix micro beads.

I attatched and mounted flowers, cut them up a little to piece them together and added some die cut Leafy Flourishes, (also Kaszazz), and one of my favourite Heidi Swapp die cut words, 'happy'. Then stamped a birthday sentiment and embossed it in white! Hope you like it, and don't forget to visit Off the Rails blog for some more Design Team inspiration and current moodboard.

Scrap the Girls Sketch challenge DT post

Hello again!! I have a Design Team layout here, for Scrap the Girls sketch challenge this month, (you can see the full reveal and other awesome DT member's work over on the blog!!

Here is the sketch!!!!

I started with a TCW stencil and sponged some Distress Inks through it for my background. Love the watercolour effect this produces! I also did some stamping and flicked some Heidi Swapp Colorshine on there. Then I worked in clusters, using Echo Park and the lovely STITCHED range of papers from Amy Tangerine, with matching die cuts.

There's some cute Simple Stories word stickers, Fynmark mini alphas and my chipboard title is from Blue Fern Studios. (Coloured in a few different mediums and coated with some Glossy Accents for dimension!)

I love the little gold glitter dots to finish off near my clusters. (I got these from a $2 shop and there are silver ones in the pack too!)
Thanks for looking and don't forget to visit the Scrap the Girls Blog and play along this month!!! It's a fun sketch to work with!

Jot Magazine November Mood Board Challenge

Hi there, I have just scraped in on the last day, and last few hours actually, to play along with the November Moodboard challenge over at Jot Magazine. I just couldn't go past this beautiful colour scheme, which was put together by the lovely Kim Jeffress!! It's gorgeous!! Take a look...

Here's my layout inspired by these gorgeous colours!!!

I started off with some Echo Park papers, and gave the background a generous splash of Dylusions paints. Love the Bubblegum Pink and the Lemon Zest together!!! I then stencilled on some Soft Gloss Gel, mixed with a little paint, through a The Crafter's Workshop Stencil.

I used a large doily as a mat, and layered some more EP patterned papers & sticker accents, Heidi Swapp Paper, Kaisercraft Collectables, Chickaniddy enamel shapes and assorted flowers. I re-coloured nearly all of the flowers I used with either Heidi Swapp Colorshine, or Distress Inks & water. Finished off with a Heidi Swapp acrylic title. Pretty happy with this one. Love this photo of my daughter who looks so very pretty!!!

Kraft Plus September Challenge

I've just completed another layout for this month's Kraft Plus Challenge. It was all about triangles, and a fabulous sketch. And of course, the Kraft background! I had fun as usual playing along!
Here is the sketch!!

And here is my take. I've used a new American Crafts, Happy Traveler 6x6 paper pad, some Heidi Swapp die cuts & stickers, some Teresa Collins brads and bits, and some Kaszazz, Kaisercraft,  and Heidi Swapp stamps. Other stamps were from Papercraft & Collected & Co. There is also some washi tape, TCW stencil and paints, Smooch Spritz and a Heidi Swapp stencil. The Adventure die cut was from the Silhouette store, (I think, I hope!) Cheers.
