Scrappingclearly February sketch

Hi there!!!! I feel like I have been doing well with my blog posting of late, lots of projects to share, hope I can keep up the pace!!!
Today I have a layout for you, LOVE THIS BOY!! What a cutie my little man was, he was about 3 here! (Can't for the life of me find the pic on the computer to tell me the correct date, but I know it's either 2008 or 2009. I'm not going to stress, cause I remember taking the photos and exactly where we were at the time!!!)
This is my last DT project using the Fancy Pants, Golden Days collection for Scrappingclearly!! I have another gorgeous kit, which I can't wait to share with you next month!!!

Apart from the kit, I used some Kaszazz cardstock, Carolee's Creations tiny alphas, Kaszazz & other brand punches, a cut file, (using the negative piece), and some colorbox ink, to swipe around the inner edges of the heart to highlight!!!

My tag for Kraft Plus

Silly me thought how good am I getting in with my challenge entry for Kraft Plus, on the last day of the month!!!! Well, more fool me, because I forgot to link up on their blog didn't I.......
Anyway, just want to say how much I adore playing along with Kraft Plus and their challenges every month!!!

I love the Dusty Attic Script stencil I used with some texture paste on the background!!!
I added a bit of colour with Distress paints and a water spray, then a flick of some Heidi Swapp colorshine. My flowers are a mix of leftovers in my stash, and I'm happy to say, I made my own tassel! There's a couple of sweet embellishments from my friend Vicki, over at Scrap matrix, some left over chipboard from Kaszazz, some Kaisercraft droplets and the leaves are from one of the Cocoa Vanilla cut files!

Paper Issues cut it up challenge

I looove the challenges over at Paper Issues, there is always something to inspire me every time I look through their challenges!!! For this challenge, there was a great Free cut file download, which you can find here: http://paperissues.blogspot.com.au/2016/04/cut-it-up-saturday.html and it looks like this!


I haven't had my Silhouette machine all that long, so I really do need inspiration like this to get it out of the box! Here's what I did with it, using Heidi Swapp papers, chipboard stickers and ephemera, Kaisercraft word stickers and 2 Crafty chipboard. (Love the little people chippies, perfect for this layout of my Hubby and Daughter!)

 There's a couple of little extras on there, such as the cute little paperclip holding my hidden journaling. (Not sure what make these are, as they came in my Pocket letter swaps!!!)

Kraft Plus March challenge - Houndstooth

Sooo many cool challenges all over scrappy blogland this month, I can hardly contain my excitement. Wish I had more hours in the day!!! I've managed a few so far this month though, and today I have completed the Houndstooth challenge for March over at Kraft Plus. There was also a sketch this month:


Loved this one!!! here is my take:

I have been wanting to scrap this photo of my little sister on her Wedding day for some time. Sadly, her and her Husband are no longer together, so it made it hard for me to do. This challenge was perfect, as it didn't have to be about the day, it was just about her and how absolutely beautiful she looked and how happy she was. I journaled my thoughts and hid them behind the photo!

I just love these watercolour title words by Heidi Swapp! I sprayed so many layers of coloured inks on there to get the right colour, then went over the top with a coat of gesso and voila- the colour I needed appeared!

Other products used were: Patterned paper by Kaszazz & Webster's Pages, (The Houndstooth paper is an oldie from Kaszazz and originally ivory, so I sprayed it with Dylusions!!)
Flowers- Bella, Prima & Scrap Matrix, Brads- Teresa Collins, Wooden leaves- Merci, Script stamp- Kaszazz, Silhouette cut file and Silhouette Cameo machine, Heidi Swapp Colorshine, Tattered Angels Glimmermist, and ribbon! TFL!
