Just a quick drop in so I can share my latest paper layout which I am really happy with and proud of! Layouts of family members and friends who have passed on seem to be the hardest to scrap for me! I've wanted to get started on some old family pics of my grandparents for awhile now, and thanks to a recent challenge at LSBS, I have completed my first of many to come hopefully. I found it very therapeutic and fulfilling as I now have some very valuable memories down on paper which I don't want to ever be forotten. My kids will get to know a little about my wonderful Pa!!!

Another windy day in the Far North! The kids had swimming lessons this arve and little Jack is not enjoying having the lesson without Me in the water with him now!!! He is doing so well and starting to swim a fair distance under water without any flotation devices!!! But the water is getting cold now too which makes it a little harder for the little ones!
Taylah had a great lesson, she swam the length of the lap pool, 50 metres, passing her mates along the way doing freestyle! Not bad for a little girl who wouldn't put her head under water this time last year!
My little man is sick tonight so must go and be with him!

I'm playing around and visiting other blogger's tonight and figuring out a few things!
we've been busy with Tom, our nephew, who's visiting from Adelaide. The kids are really loving it and it's been great that the weather is so good. Apart from the wind but you can't have everything! Let's just say that the swimming pool is getting well used! :)

Holidays and visitors
Wow, time flies and I haven't posted for a little while! So much going on! We have Tom (Taylah and Jack's big cousin) here with us from Adelaide at the moment!
Today we visited Mossman Gorge and tomorrow we are taking him to the crocodile farm!
Jack is like his little shadow and thinks it's great having him here. Taylah has taken a couple of days to warm, she was a bit shy, but now she's enjoying having him around! I think he's having a ball and loving our swimming pool which we are getting a great deal of use out of!
Scrapping wise- I completd a few layouts over the weekend, including a couple of digi's and Taylah also had a go at one of the challenges from the Cybercrop at LSBS.
I'll post my new layouts along with Taylah's gorgeous layout with this post

Mum
What a busy day today, I travelled to Cairns for the day which is a 1 hour trip each way and always tiring. My list of jobs was huge as usual, but managed to get a huge chunk done without little ones with me!!!
Dave is back from Brisbane and having his hand operation which turned into two operations, (one on each hand!) he is in a lot of pain and frustrated!! I am tired and really felt the void while he was gone, especially the witching hour when he usually entertains the kids while I get dinner!!!
It made me think of my Mum and how she ever did cope as a single Mum, with my brother and I in tow. I take my hat off to her and thank God for her and for the wondeful man she met later in life, who has been the person she deserved to be with!!! Love my Mum and hats off to all the other Mum's out there who do it hard with a smile. I have done a tribute layout for my Mum, its here!!!!
On a very exiting note, I am about to have my first layout published in Scrapbooking Memories magazine!!! I am so wrapped, stay tuned for more!!!!
