Hi all I'm here to share my latest Design Team post for Scrappingclearly! I decided to stay with my Mixed Media urges this time and create a mini canvas using the cool Vicki Boutin Art Crayons, and some stencils from TCW and Dina Wakley. There are a mountain of other products used, which you can find out more about on the Scrappinclearly blog in my detailed post! The canvas is from Kaszazz, it's 5 x 7" in size! Love working on them! The stamps are from the Prima Finnabair range!
Mixed with water, you can use the crayons as watercolours for your background.
Add some stamping for your first layer.
Then add some stencilling and some fab Colourblast paste in Bling!
Look at the shine from the Colourpaste!
Some close ups of the embellishment cluster!
Thanks so much for looking!!!!

Kraft Plus, Plus one colour challenge
Hi all, can you believe it's the first of June? Half way through the year..too scary! Today I am up on the Kraft Plus blog with my Design Team sample of our June challenge. It's Kraft, Plus one colour. check out the inspiring challenge board:
Now I was down to the wire with timing this month...again, just have had a very busy time lately!!! My friend and I hosted our very own, very first scrapbooking retreat here in Darwin over the weekend, it went awesome by the way, but wow, alot of work involved and it's taking me awhile to not feel tired!!!
So this layout was pulled together very quickly, just by opening a few of my embellishment drawers, paper scrap drawer and I have a little folder with odd journal spots, which also came in handy.
The first thing I did was stencil the words on my background, using the Kaszazz, Destiny stencil and some Distress Oxide inks. So smooth on the Kraft background!!! Then I added some texture paste through a Kaszazz stencil. For some colour drops, I added some Gelatos with water and let it run, but then covered most of it up with the photo. One of my favourite things about this layout, is that I used up a few little things I have had sitting in my stash forever!! Can you see part of the little, blue, cocktail umbrella sticking out under the word Magic, above!!!??? I also used a piece of it under the bottom of the pic.
The butterflies are from an ephemera pack from Grace Taylor, (Grant Archival), I've had them for sooo long!!! I added some art marker to change the colour in the middle from yellow to blue! There's some sequins, some washi tape from D-Lish scraps, and some flicks of the stem of the Dylusions bottle.
There's a little banner from a Kaisercraft collectables pack and a doily and a little journal spot from Autumn Leaves, which I had stamped and put in my little folder for a rainy day. It's actually kind of refreshing and quick working with just one colour. You are able to add black/white and neutrals to your project to help it come together. I hope you can find time to visit the k+ blog and check out the challenge samples from the other DT members.
