Scrap the Girls January moodboard 2017

Hello and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Let's hope 2017 brings us all happiness, success, and makes our dreams become realities!!! I have a few dreams, goals and plans, I really want to put them down on paper and make them happen!!!
This month is my last reveal as a Design Team member for SCRAP THE GIRLS CHALLENGES! I have loved my term over there, there's a great bunch of inspiring girls, and we are handing over the reins to a new bunch of peeps....yet to be revealed.
Here's the moodboard, which was a very challenging one, I have to say:

I couldn't find any papers to help me with the colours, so I decided to focus on the metallics in the image, and I stamped and embossed some Kaszazz mandala stamps in gold, wine and copper. It looks very shiny!! (Hard to pick it up on the photo!)
It's a bit of a thrifty layout this one, as the stickers are all from a paper pack I bought for a couple of bucks at the Salvo's store!!! I mounted them all onto card for dimension, add a few flowers from Green Tara and Seriously Scrapbooking, and finished by embossing a chipboard word from Kaszazz.

I love this pic of Mum and I, which was taken on our recent visit to Adelaide!!!

Scrappingclearly December Moodboard

I managed to whip up some cards for the Scrappingclearly moodboard this month. What a gorgeous board it is!

These cards are made using Kaszazz card blanks, and papers & embellies from Scrappingclearly! (Pink Paislee, Maggie Holmes and Chickaniddy.)

I love the gold embellies from the C'est La Vie ephemera pack! There's also a few touches of Heidi Swapp on there. (The gold acetate word above, the lace below.)

Hope you like my cards!

Merry Christmas Santa!

Merry Christmas everyone in Blogland!! Hope you have a fun-filled day, with lots of yummy food and Christmas cheer. We will celebrate Jack's 11th birthday this morning, make a fuss, give him his birthday presents and then move onto the Christmas celebrations. We try and make it a big deal for him, as hard as it is sharing your birthday with Christ. This year will be a very quiet little family Christmas for us, and that's ok.

Here is Design Team layout I created for SCRAPPINGCLEARLY, based on the sketch for this month. Here is the sketch:

Here is my layout created using the gorgeous Heidi Swapp Christmas range- Oh What Fun!

There's a little Smooch Spritz ,(silver), behind the photo layers, I have a tiny bit left in the spray bottle and I'm making it last as long as possible!

I did some fussy cutting from the 12x12" papers. (holly) Not my usual forte, but liked the way it turned out.

Finished off with some computer journaling in red, and swiped the edges of the strips with some red chalk ink!
I have so many more Christmas photos that need scrapping, will have to make the most of the rest of these very cute papers.

Catching up.

So we have had our 3 weeks in Adelaide...Man that was busy. My friend's Wedding, who I did the Photography for, then she had another party a few days later for speeches and formalities. Then the joint 50th Birtday party for myself and 2 friends the following week..We had a few nights away on the Yorke Peninsula, which I loved, especially as it was with family. We caught up with lots of family and friends, including friends that flew in from our old home, Port Douglas...there were so many catch ups here and there, it was great, but quite exhausting!!!

Here are a couple of layouts that have been posted for my Design Team work during that time!

This one was for Off the Rails!!!

The next one was for: Scrap the Girls!!!

And here are some photos from our trip:

I will be back soon with some more inspiration!!!

Scrap the girls November sketch

So this time, I'm sharing my Design Team take on the Scrap the Girls sketch this month!
I have wanted to scrap this photo for ages now, finally I found the right papers and the right inspiration in the sketch!

This is Taylah in Bali with some of the friends she met at Kids Club!
I gave the background a little watercolour touch with some gelatos! The papers are Amy Tangerine, and there's a home made journal spot I made using a Kaiser stamp and some chalks. Love the brightness in this happy layout!

Christmas tags using Heidi Swapp Oh What Fun

For my Scrappingclearly Design Team post this time, I decided to make some Christmas tags. Yes, because it is getting closer to Christmas!!! I got to work with Heidi Swapp's Oh What Fun range, with lots of cute stickers, die cuts and matching papers!!!

I made my tags from some Kraft cardstock, made the reinforcement rings from the Heidi Swapp papers, using a single hole punch and a small circle punch!

At least now I have made a start on Christmas, TFL!
