Scrappingclearly DT post..Favourite photo!

I've had a busy month this month, so many DT projects, Kaszazz projects and sorting through photos, teaching classes and running the home, yada yada, yada...Not sure what I would be doing with my time otherwise, cause I love it!!!

Anyhow, here is my layout for Scrappingclearly! It is titled: Favourite Photo, even though there are a few words going on, on this page, that is what it's called, Lol. And it really was the pick of the bunch to get all 3 looking at the camera! A big bonus to get Sammi dog staring right down the lens of the camera, it was only a split second though!!!

I've used the gorgeous '365' range from Chickaniddy, love it! The extra embellies I used were wood veneer, from Studio Calico, puffy camera sticker from Mambi and wooden word embelly from Teresa Collins! I gave a slight touch of colour to the background page with some gelatos and water, and a flick of some Dylusions spray ink! My journaling is hidden, which I do alot! No secrets with this one, just a fun moment before we gave the dog her 2nd Birthday cake, and we have quite a few out takes with the pics, some of them very scrapworthy...watch this space!!!

Cute card set for Scrappingclearly

Hi all, I'm up on the Scrappingclearly blog today, sharing this cute set of cards, using Maggie Holmes, Open Book and Shimelle, Starshine ranges! I am getting my mileage out of these papers, love them!

I've done some fussy cutting, and that was the most time consuming part of these, overall, they were a very quick and simple set to make, thanks to the gorgeous cut outs in the papers!

All I needed to add was a few sentiment stamps, some Heidi Swapp alpha stickers and a cute wood veneer from Studio Calico!

Hope you like them!!!

Scrappingclearly DT project for September moodboard!

Hi everyone, I'm up on the Scrappingclearly Blog today with my take on this fabulous moodboard!

My layout uses the Crate Paper, Open Book range, and a little touch of Shimelle, Starshine!!! But of course, there's also some Heidi Swapp on there! (Stickers and wood veneer!) There's some Studio Calico wood veneer also!

This is about my daughter's personality and how she makes the most of every moment, either being goofy, singing, dancing, making up funny poems & the list goes on! She is a teenager who challenges me every day, but I love her to bits and hope she never changes!!

I added some watercolour on the background and gave it a few flicks of Heidi Swapp Color Shine & added some subtle embellishments. (Prima flowers, Studio Calico Sequins!)

I finished off with a Gold acetate word from Heidi Swapp, love these!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Scrappingclearly DT post August 2016

Hi all! Today I'm sharing my 3rd Scrappingclearly post for August!!! I can't believe it's nearly the end of the month!!! I'm really happy with this layout, featuring my two beautiful kids from 8 years ago!!! they look so tiny!!!

My inspiration for this layout came from a class with Nicole Nowosad, over at Big Picture Classes!! I've been a member with them for quite a few years now, and their new website and classes are just amazing. For a small monthly fee, you have access to as many classes as you can do, and they are constantly coming up with new ones. Take a look if you haven't done before!!!
I even broke out the sewing machine for this one...OMG..It's been awhile! Must be the new desk Hubby built me, more space, and using more things because I can!!!!

There's lots of layers behind my photo and I wanted it to pop off the page, so instead of going mad with the magic mount, I remembered a tip I learned a long time ago, and cut a large square of chipboard and taped that to the back instead! I've popped some vellum between the layers, to soften the mix of patterned papers a little. I've used the gorgeous Shimelle, Starshine and Maggie Holmes Open Book collections!
My embellishments: wood veneers by Studio Calico, Kaisercraft die cut push bike and a few flicks of Heidi Swapp Colorshine in navy. All other cut outs are from the Starshine papers!!! Love!

And there you have it!! A very colourful mix of Tertiary coloured patterned papers!!! Somehow, I think that it all works. Hope you like!

Scrappingclearly Moodboard

Hi! It's my turn on the Scrappingclearly blog today with my Design Team take on this month's moodboard! I've used the gorgeous, Starshine collection from American Crafts and Shimelle!

Love all the cut outs on these papers, and I actually got this layout done in a few hours, without the need for fussing with too much embellishing. The only other bits I added besides the papers, were some Heidi Swapp & Studio Calico wood veneer, some Heidi Swapp rub ons and a little journaling which I typed and printed from the computer.

A very clean and simple layout don't you think!!! Hope you can find some inspiration from this month's moodboard over at Scrappingclearly! (Click the link to see the great prizes on offer!)

Kraft Plus July challenge

Hi all, I am scraping this one in again this month. I so like to do the Kraft Plus challenge each month, but I seem to be having less time. However, I still have quite a few hours left in the day and it's the last day of the challenge, and I made it!!! So this months inspiration & requirement, was the moodboard and Sheet music and of course on a Kraft background. Here's the sweet board:

I was inspired by the Script, and sheet music, and flowers, and the two pastel colours of mint green and pinky/peach.

I started with a collage background of some torn sheet music and an old book page, then gessoed over the top of them. I then sprayed two different colours of Heidi Swapp Colorshine over that and when dry, I stamped a Newsprint background and Music stamp, both from Kaszazz. I had only the one piece of old sheet music paper which was given to me by one of my Art Journal students. How cool! I used a large strip for the banner and then placed some washi tape and some Amy Tangerine paper for another banner.

I love doilies, and this one was just what I needed to break up the colours. I got out my Kaszazz Ezy Press and die cut some love hearts, from the Dear Lizzy music paper and for my photo and photo mat. There's a cute little transparency piece with gold dots on it in there, that came in a pocket letter swap, love all the bits I have collected from my pals!!!
I jazzed up some paper flowers with Color Shine and the Newsprint stamp, joined 3 together with a cute Basic Grey brad. All the other flowers were re-coloured with Color shine.

My wood veneers are from Merci and Stampin Up, enamel dots from Francheville and the Thickers are Amy Tangerine!

I finished off with some cute little, white embossed music notes, and went around the edges of my page with some Colourbox fluid chalk ink. I'm happy to say I dug deep into some old stash for this challenge, the Dear Lizzy paper, the little black and white border stickers, from Cloud 9 I think, and the brads, all go back a long time, feels good to do that!!!!
Thanks for looking! See you next time!!!

More Scrappingclearly cybercrop pics

Hi, well as promised, I have the last couple of projects I completed for the Australia Day Cybercrop over at Scrappingclearly. This next one was called a Tic Tac Toe challenge! We had to pick a row in a tic tac toe board made up of shapes, then use those 3 shapes on our layout! I have to say, this is probably one of my New favourite layouts this year!!!!

The shapes I used were a love heart, (wood veneer), a rectangle, (paper strips, and speech bubble), and an arrow!!! The gorgeous papers by Webster's pages, made this layout come together so quickly and easily. Not to mention those beautiful crocheted doilies and flowers, which were sent to me in my pocket letter from the lovely Rikki Graziani, from Scrappingclearly!

The last layout was alot of fun, it was a blind crop, which means we were given a bunch of instructions and the materials needed, and we had to create a layout based on this information, I just love the way it turned out, and I loved seeing everyone's interpretations of the given criteria!
Check out the acrylic paint drizzled around the outside of the page, gosh, that was scary, but fun!!!!
I used my die cutting machine to create the star embellilshments, and some chipboard bits, and a bunch of scrap papers! Always good to stash bust the old papers!

Australia Day Cybercrop fun with Scrappingclearly

So on Australia Day weekend, I had loads of Scrappy fun joining in with the Scrappingclearly Community in their Cybercrop! I love Cybercrops and hadn't been involved in one for awhile. I managed 5 projects, and I was very happy with myself for getting those stories told. The first one was to create a layout or project, about what Australia Day means to you! I have wanted to scrap these photos for awhile, well, they are from 2009 after all. What a perfect prompt for me to do so! So I even went all out and did a Project Life page, and that was good because I needed to start on those, I haven't done enough and want to do more, you can scrap so many pics in one go, just like this!!!

Look at my little kidlets, they are not this little any more!!!
The next challenge was to create a layout using this colour combo: YELLOW, ORANGE, BLACK AND WHITE...Right up my alley...

I'm happy with this one, used Mixed media on here, some Gesso, stamping, texture paste with paints & a stencil and rub ons. There's hidden journaling on the tag.
Challenge 3 was: 12345- 1 title, 2 techniques, 3 colours, 4 photos or more & 5 embellishments. This one came together fairly quickly!!!

I used an embossing folder and sponged ink through it for the background spots, then there's a piece of patterned paper at back with a shaving foam and Dylusions technique on there, along with some cute doilies and some old Kaiser paper I've had for ever. finished off with some little embellies: enamel dots and wood veneer flowers.
I will be back again tomorrow to share the last few layouts I accomplished. TFL :)

A couple more projects inspired by Big Picture Classes lessons!!!

I'm really loving my membership over at Big picture Classes. I love that I have all these classes to choose from for such a small payment each month. The inspiration is amazing, so many cool teachers!!! Love all the choices of projects too. I can choose from cards, scrapbooking, art journalling and more, whatever my mood is, there's something to inspire me!!!! So here's a couple more cards I did this week!
The first card was about using build it up stamps, which I don't have an actual set of, so I just found a really large Grant Archival set in my stash and used a few of the cool little flourishy ones! I used Colorbox inks in some Spring colours.

The 2nd one was about finding inspiration in art, stationery or decor, or everyday! I found this cool tissue box while doing the shopping and had a play at circles. I used a cork and some Dylusions and Heidi Swapp Color Shine to stamp the circles and then watercolour paints in the middle. I also layered a die cut sentiment and embossed it with gold 3 times which I'm kind of in love with the results.
